Student-Centered Learning for Equity 2022: Advisory Council Application
Purpose of the Council:
The Advisory Council’s role is to guide Education Evolving, the Bush Foundation, and their planning partners in developing the vision of and design for the Student-Centered Learning for Equity (SCL4E) convening. The Council’s input ensures that the event serves the needs of education communities doing the work of student-centered learning, and adapts to our expanding and evolving movement.

Make Up of the Council:
The Advisory Council is made up of educators, system leaders, and community leaders who share the Bush Foundation and Education Evolving’s commitment to providing opportunities for students that honor who they are, how they learn, and where they want to go. Collectively, Council members will represent different backgrounds and perspectives from across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and the 23 Native nations that share the same geography.

2022 Scope and Commitment:
As we kick off the planning for next year’s event (tentatively planned for Spring 2022), we recognize that we are still in the midst of a massive disruption to our education system. Council members will serve an especially crucial role in designing a gathering that cultivates wellness and mobilizes the community toward an equitable future. Council members will be asked to commit to a total of four or five, two-hour virtual (possibly some in-person later in the year) planning sessions over the course of the year, for which they will be compensated $500.

This year we are offering the opportunity to join the Advisory Council. Please complete this form if you are interested in applying.
