Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS) invites Ideas/Start-ups to apply for financial support under the TIDE 2.0 scheme by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

Last date for submission of application: 31st January 2021

Objective:
To promote technology entrepreneurship by providing financial and technical support to ideas/start-ups leveraging emerging technologies such as IoT, AI/ML, Blockchain, Robotics etc. in selected areas of national concern.

Areas of focus:
• Healthcare
• Education
• Agriculture
• Financial inclusion
• Infrastructure & transport
• Environment and cleantech
• Clean energy solutions

Support offered:
The selected ideas/start-ups will receive incubation and following assistance in building successful a venture from an idea,
• Holistic mentorship and knowledge of different aspects of business
• Co-working space and networking with like-minded innovators
• Market access through corporate and government connects
• Financial support to transform an idea to prototype
• Facilitation of IPR filings

1. Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR):
The program will provide support in the validation and development of an idea. The selected idea/start-up will receive a grant up to INR 4 Lakhs for a year.

Eligibility:
• The applicant should be a citizen of India.
• The applicant should be an undergraduate degree holder or a final year student, preferably in Applied Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, Medicine, etc.
• The idea should fall under the focus areas listed above.
• The applicant should not have any other source of funding.
• The applicant should not be the promoter or shareholder/beneficiary of any other company.
• The applicant should solely be committed to exploring his/her business idea.
• Preference will be given to the applicant residing in Andhra Pradesh.
• Preference will be given to idea with a granted/published patent or at least a provisional patent applied.


2. Prototype Grant:
The program will provide support in the development of a prototype or a minimum viable product from a valid proof-of-concept. The selected venture will receive a grant up to INR 7 Lakhs for a year.

Eligibility:
• The applicant should be a citizen of India.
• The applicant should be an undergraduate degree holder or a final year student, preferably in Applied Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, Medicine, etc.
• The idea should fall under the focus areas listed above and should have a definite proof-of-concept.
• The applicant should solely be committed to build a prototype of his/her business idea.
• The applicant should not be the promoter or shareholder/beneficiary of any other company.
• The applicant (if not a start-up) must be willing to incorporate a company within 3 months of acceptance of the grant.
• Preference will be given to the applicant residing in Andhra Pradesh.
• Preference will be given to idea with a granted/published patent or at least a provisional patent applied.
