The Elder Award recognises respected and inspirational Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander role models and leaders.
Please use the following selection criteria to nominate an individual for the Elder Awards:

Exemplifies the values important to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

Demonstrated commitment and contribution to benefit Indigenous people over the long term, and demonstrated achievement in this area

The individual is an inspirational leader and role model

Demonstrated involvement in the Indigenous community at the local, regional and/or national levels

*is of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
*identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
*is accepted as such by the community in which he or she lives or has lived.
