We never want lack of finances to be the only reason a camper cannot come to Higher Ground at Lake Louise. We encourage prospective scholarship recipients to first seek financial assistance from their home church since many churches have funds designated for sending children and youth to summer camp. If no funds or not enough funds can be provided by the church, Higher Ground at Lake Louise has a general scholarship fund available. These funds are limited, so please apply only if financial assistance is truly needed.

The General Scholarship amount awarded is based upon household need, but generally this is up to 50% of the total cost of registration for the first year you apply. In future years the opportunity to reapply for this scholarship exists, but for a lesser amount each year. The amount is determined by the Finance Committee.

How do I apply? To apply for this scholarship, you must first register yourself or your child for camp. Once registration is complete, please fill out the scholarship application online (in the Forms section). Be sure to provide as much information as you are able when completing the application. You will receive a notification once your application has been received. A Higher Ground staff will contact you to clarify your family situation and a determination will be made by the Finance Committee. Please note: If the amount of scholarship awarded is not sufficient for you to attend camp, your registration deposit is fully refundable.
