Yes, performing any axis-angle rotation (along x,y, and z) uses the same transformation matrix.

No, you need an additional dimension. This is known as an affine transformation which in effect stores where a point moves.

Yes, you can just like with rotation and scale.

No, we just set it to 1 so the math works out.

Yes, it tells us if we are translating a point or a vector. Additionally, it is used in perspective transformations.

Yes, we can think of our transformations in two different ways. Sometimes it is nice to think about moving the world around an object, or to be moving objects about the world.

No, the final image being drawn is shown to be different.
