Interested in presenting at an Astronomy on Tap NYC event? Please fill out this form! It shouldn't take more than about 5 minutes.
Astronomy on Tap NYC public outreach events feature multiple, short, engaging, accessible presentations from science & education professionals (students included) plus trivia/games, music, giveaways, and more, scheduled on weekday evenings at local bar-type venues (some 21+, some all ages).
We recommend that presenters prepare 10-15 minutes of slides, which we schedule as a 15-minute talk plus 10 minutes for questions. We also encourage questions/interactions/interruptions during the presentation if the presenter is comfortable with that. AoT NYC hosts/producers provide the extra activities, often in consultation with the presenters.
AoT NYC events are currently scheduled for evenings of the third Tuesday of the month at
Pete's Candy Store near McCarren Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We host other one-off events at locations like libraries, museums, and other bars. And we are looking to start a regular uptown Manhattan series, having held an event at
Northend Food Hall in Washington Heights in October, 2023.
Please note - filling this out does not guarantee a spot, we are trying to build a list of interested people. If you have any questions, or feel the need to present something specific at a specific time, please email us at AstroOnTapNYC@gmail.com.
Thank you!
