Brave Scholars Program Application 
Thank you for expressing interest in the Brave Scholars Program at UNCP. As a reminder, the application deadline is April 15, 2024, by 5 pm. The following eligibility requirements apply: 

Eligibility Criteria for Incoming Students 

  • Provide documentation of demonstrated financial need (A FAFSA must be submitted to the Office of Financial Aid) 
  • 2.75 GPA Minimum
  • Has been admitted to UNCP and accepted admittance 
  • Willingness to serve in Scotland, Robeson, Whiteville City, or Columbus County following completion of program for service payback time period. 
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student 
Application Process Includes 
  • Completed application with general information
  • Copy of Unofficial Transcript 
  • Completed Essay 
  • Completed Video Submission
  • Two letters of Recommendation from a teacher or educational professional to be emailed to BraveScholarsProgram@uncp.edu 
After Application has been completed
  • All candidates selected for next round will be contacted for an interview. 
  • Students chosen for the program will be contacted by March 8, 2024
