The EduDesign fellowship is not your typical professional development. It is unique in that it is collaborative, practice-focused, and teacher-led. It is a professional learning community across multiple schools and districts that centers the knowledge and experiences of teachers, and helps connect teaching practice with research and community resources.
This year's theme will be to renew our understanding of current research and practices, regional community partners, and lived experiences of students with dis/abilities in our school communities. Together we will work to expand our understanding and practice around social, mental health, and learning dis/abilities through a social justice lens and with distance learning in mind. Our time together will include community building, guest speakers, roundtable discussions, and the opportunity to workshop problems of practice. The direction of this work will be shaped by the interests and needs of the fellows and their students. Subtopics will include anxiety, trauma, social-emotional learning, executive function, ADHD, self-determination, and person-centered planning.
