What is Hacktoberfest?

Hacktoberfest (https://hacktoberfest.digitalocean.com) is a month-long celebration of open source software run by DigitalOcean, DEV.to & GitHub.

If you open five Pull Requests in public GitHub repos between October 1 and October 31, you’ll win a free, limited edition Hacktoberfest T-shirt and some swag!

There will be plenty of mentors available to help you craft the ultimate Pull Request, or help get you started if you’ve never contributed before. Git mastery not required.

We’ll have a range of different projects that we think are good candidates for contributions and first-timers, so you can jump right in and get contributing!
