Android Developer Job Application
HabitRPG is seeking a part time Android Developer to join our small, distributed team of six people. Our ideal candidate is a mobile developer with experience in Kotlin who is capable of supporting existing legacy code and working with our team to continue improving the user experience. As an Android Developer working on the Habitica mobile app, you'll make major contributions that help serve and grow an audience of millions of users.

Responsibilities:
* Assist in improving product features for Habitica’s mobile applications
* Tackling bug fixes and reducing Github backlog
* Collaborate with designers, developers, and other stakeholders as needed to identify short-term and long-term needs
* Review customer support queries and correlate with Github issues
* Help with software QA on Android (and iOS if possible) updates

Requirements:
* Minimum availability 10 hours per week
* 1 year of mobile development experience
* Proficiency in Kotlin
* Experience on a team that has published and updated apps on the Google Play Store
* Strong English language verbal and written communication skills (additional languages a plus)
* Ability to communicate complicated technical problems to both technical and non-technical audiences

Bonus:
* An eye for design and an understanding of user experience practices
* An understanding on leveraging research and data to iterate on products
* Proficiency in Swift
* Experience working with remote teams
