RocKats Adoption Application
Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable cats. Although our focus is TNVR, occasionally we are unable to place friendly cats with a rescue and must adopt these cats out our-selves. All cats in our care were originally from a city street and were determined to be friendly. They are eager for a safe new phase in their life.

The following questions will help us know if the cat in which you are interested is a good match for you and if you are a good match for the cat.
Tell us why you are interested in adopting this particular cat(s). *
Do you own or rent your home?   *
If you are boarding with relatives or friends, choose “rent” and supply their information bellow
If you rent, provide the name and phone number of your landlord or responsible party.  We will contact them to ensure that pet cats are permitted.
Please list the full names of other adults who live in your household. *
Please list the names of children under 18 who live with you and their respective ages. *
The presence of children under the age of 18 does not preclude adopting a cat from us. Some cats may not be appropriate for young children due to temperament or a tendency to “dart” out the door.
Please list all other pets who are in your home.  Include the name, breed, approximate age, if they are spayed/neutered, dates of last rabies/distemper vaccines and know FIV/FELV status. *
If you currently do not have any pets, but have had pets in the past, tell us a little about them. *
Please tell us your current or past veterinarian. *
Cats can live a long time.  Are you willing to provide a home for this cat for the next 10-15 yrs or longer? *
Please tell us who would care for the cat in the event you were no longer able to. Include the person(s) name(s), phone number, and relationship to you. *
Pet cats are safest indoors.  Are you committed to keeping this cat indoors or indoors with access to an enclosed outdoor space such as a catio? *
Are all your windows securely screened?   *
Basic veterinary care can cost approximately $150 a year.  In the event of illness or injury there are additional costs. Would you be able to afford this? *
Please tell us a little about yourself including your occupation, how many hours a day you are generally at home, if you travel frequently, if you are planning to get additional pets in the near future, etc….. *
Information provided here will help determine which cat may be the best match for you if you have not chosen a particular cat.
15) Cat meet and greets may occur in person or via Facetime/Zoom? *
A virtual visit is a safer option than a home visit and at the same time allows you to see the cat in their current environment where they feel safe and comfortable. This may be best when a cat is very shy.
Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable cats.
Someone will be in touch with you within 2-3 days. If we have already received an approved application for the cat in which you are interested, we may still contact you if there are other adoptable cats in our care.
