ENTRY DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, JUNE 7, 2024Entries must observe all applicable rules and
regulations. The parade staff reserves the right to remove any entrant from the
parade either prior to staging, during staging, or any time during the parade.
1. Entries must avoid content that discriminates against, is offensive to or disparages any person or group on the basis of race, gender, national origin, disability, political viewpoint, age, religion, sexual orientation or personal characteristics. Entries should limit their displays to positive identification of their group and a positive UCO spirit-building artistic theme and message.

NO
SMOKING (CIGARETTES, VAPE, WEED, ETC.) OR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES will be allowed on or in any entry vehicle. No consumption of alcoholic beverages by parade participants will be allowed before or during the parade. Parade officials will monitor all entries.
3. Candy or any other materials are prohibited from being thrown or dropped from floats or other vehicles along the parade route by parade entries. Only a parade participant on foot may hand candy or other items to parade spectators. To keep children from surging into the street to retrieve candy. Candy distributors must walk at curbside to hand out candy. Please respect our concern for the safety of others.
4. All individuals and motorized vehicles must have their own liability insurance to relieve United Community Organization and The City of Magnolia, and any members of the parade staff from any liability.
5. All vehicle drivers must hold a legal driver’s license and have unobstructed visibility. Distance between the parade units must be no less than 10 feet. This distance must be maintained at all times.
6. For the safety of spectators and participants, NO LOUD motorized vehicles or machinery will be allowed to participate in the parade.
7. Revving of engines or burning of tires is prohibited. Any entry that does not abide by this rule will be removed from the parade. Those who do not comply with this rule will not be permitted to participate in any future UCO Parade.
8. ABSOLUTELY NO PROFANITY-LACED MUSIC from vehicles, ATVs, and/or Dance Groups as this environment is family-friendly.
9. Dance groups: Please keep your performances in motion and in time with the flow of other parade participants. Performances over 15 seconds should be reserved for the Dance Showcase. Proper
unit spacing and parade pace is critical; and we wish for the parade to last no more than one hour.
10. Each entry must be submitted on an official
parade entry form, only one-unit application per form. Please ensure you have
included both application and required signed Liability Disclaimer.
11. The Juneteenth Parade Committee will assign
parade positions for all units. Placement will be determined for the most
pleasant, smooth-running parade possible.
12. The parade committee’s decisions regarding all
entries are final.
