Unemployment Insurance Survey
This purpose of this survey from Councilmember Elissa Silverman (I-At-Large) is to gather information from DC workers that have used the District's Unemployment Insurance or Pandemic Unemployment Assistance programs so that we can improve their performance. This information will be used to inform our upcoming oversight hearing with the Department of Employment Services (DOES), and as part of our ongoing efforts to improve unemployment and workforce development programs.

If you experienced delays in receiving your benefits and suffered as a result, please explain how you were affected:
We are looking to understand the *direct* effect of delays in UI or PUA payments. Responses to this question might include things like being evicted from an apartment, inability to pay car or credit card payments, or inability to use transit for work.
Is there anything you'd like to add?
Would you like to submit your responses to this survey as official testimony for our 9/16 Unemployment Oversight Hearing? *
Testimony for Council hearings is accepted even after the hearing has happened. We strongly encourage anyone considering submitting testimony separate from this survey to still do so by emailing labor@dccouncil.us by October 7, 2020 at 5pm. Please make a note in the previous section if you are submitting this survey and also emailing a copy of your testimony.
