Day Middle School is holding elections for School Site Council (SSC). We invite you to nominate yourself or others to serve as a [parent/ community member, classroom teacher or other staff member]. Please submit your name(s) on the form below by September 16th.

School Site Council is composed of equal numbers of staff and parent/student representatives who serve a 1-2 year term. They meet throughout the year to oversee the implementation of various programs in the school, including state and federally-funded programs.  The School Site Council is a governing body which is responsible for deciding how to spend Title I money to improve the instructional programs here at Day Middle School.  The School Site Council members work together to set goals for improving student achievement at the school, allocate the funds to accomplish those goals, and evaluate the effectiveness of current programs.

For the coming school year, we have 2 parent/community member, 2 student member, and 3 Classroom Teacher member openings.  Please complete this by 11:59pm on Thursday, September 15th.
