Kalauokekahuli Ka Hānau Ea Home Birth Program Application
Aloha and mahalo for your interest in participating in Kalauokekahuliʻs Ka Hānau Ea Home Birth program.

Through Ka Hānau Ea, 12 Native Hawaiian wahine/birthing people will receive $1500 off of the total cost of home birth midwifery services ($4500).

Midwifery services will be provided by an all-Indigenous birthing team: Connie Perkins, CPM (Niitsitapi); Leilani Digmon, Haumāna Pale Keiki (Kanaka Maoli); and a Kalauokekahuli Koʻokua. As part of the program, midwifery services include prenatal appointments, on-call availability from 37 weeks until birth, the birth itself and all supplies needed, and six postpartum home visits over six weeks.

To meet grant funding guidelines, we ask that potential applicants be:
1. Native Hawaiian
2. Seeking home birth
3. Due between March - November 2023
4. Living on Maui

Mahalo to Seventh Generation Fund for Indigenous Peoples Inc. for their generous support in funding this project!
