The Sustainable Backyards Trail has included aspects relating to sustainable homes and farms. We're considering creating two new trails and we would like to know if you'd be interested in being a host.

'Farms' is all-inclusive term - from growing to processing. Dairy and beef, but also honey, fish, flowers, mushrooms, fruit and veg, berries and nuts, rare breeds etc.

Sustainable Farms - being a host.
The public as well as other farmers and landowners have the opportunity to visit farms who value and work with the environment. Hosts provide tours, short talks, or demonstrations or just provide an experience of what ‘farm life’ is for that particular set-up.

'Open hours' will be up to individual farms, but ideally several 2-3hr slots where people are either toured, or wander between activities, demonstrations, info signs etc.
