2021 RLL Trampoline Application
Welcome!

We hope this program will support you to deepen your networks, be inspired by other newcomer social impact change-makers, and move your ideas forward while also building a deeper understanding of your social location and systems of power.

By filling out this application you are committing to:

100% participation: Attending all sessions, completing all assignments, and bringing your best to all work and discussions with our team and your fellow participants.

Mentor engagement: Scheduling and holding a bi-monthly call with your mentor.

Homework completion: 3-5 hours of work each week outside of the in-person sessions. Making it happen in the real world! Each week you will meet people who will engage with your idea, initiative, venture, partners, and more.

IS THIS FOR ME?
If you are filling this out, you live, work or have connections in British Columbia and are interested in being part of a community of learners working together to:
- challenge assumptions of what is possible in refugee livelihoods
- incubate new projects and social impact businesses or initiatives that address the root causes of systemic barriers
- lead change with various racialized communities

You may be someone with your own lived experience of being a refugee or migrant, someone who has worked alongside these communities, or both!  You may have experience as a change-maker, a policy-maker, a community leader, a manager, front-line service worker, a student, an artist or something totally different.  You may even be applying as a team of people!

Most importantly, you are someone who wants to grow, lead and learn as a person in a collective process, and take action by developing a social business or other project that makes a difference to the lives of refugee and migrant communities.

We are committed to power-sharing, healthy resolution of conflict and treating each other with dignity across difference. Applications are welcomed from people across race, national origin, ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, class, migration status and ability.

Sound like you? Apply by filling out the form below by November 8, 2021!

You may want to prepare your answers in a separate document first, as partial answers cannot be saved in this form. If you need support filling out the application, please contact Yara Younis at yyounis@radiussfu.com.
