Designing for the future of the Third Age - Participant Sign-Up
Hello,

My name is David Harris and I am leading a research project that is exploring opportunities to create innovative design solutions in the digital space for people transitioning from full-time work into retirement or semi-retirement. We are looking for research participants who would like to be involved in the design process by sharing personal experiences and providing feedback on prototypes. Sessions will run 15 March 2021 – 15 April 2021 via Zoom / video conference.

What the project is about:

Retirement is a major life transition. Through a human-centred approach, we are engaging people to better understand how they prepare for retirement, what steps they take to adjust to the new normal and any thoughts, emotions and concerns experienced during the transition. The aim is to develop a comprehensive view of the things that matter to people at this stage in life and create digital design concepts (e.g. visual interfaces, mobile apps, voice interactions, web platforms, games) that empower people to make the most of the opportunities that post-retirement life provides.

How you can participate:

You are invited to join a 45-60 min session during which we will discuss your personal experience around retirement and give you a chance to test our prototype. We may also offer you to participate in an interactive workshop with other participants. To register your interest, please complete the participant sign-up form or contact us via email.

If you know anyone within or outside of U3A who qualifies and may be interested in participating, please feel free to pass on this information sheet.
