Promoting engaged learning by unifying coursework value with student career trajectory and vocation
Principle Investigator:
Dr. Chris Payne, Franciscan University of Steubenville
Purpose:
The purpose of this research project is to investigate the efficacy of vocation-based coursework designed to increase students' perceived value of course material by relating material to personal career trajectories and personal vocation so as to result in greater student engagement and learning.
Participating classes may or may not actually incorporate the Vocation Assignment designed by Dr. Payne into their coursework. The project seeks both test (with assignment) and control (without assignment) sections.
