K-12 Disability History Curriculum Pilot
(Extended through January 2023)

Emerging America is developing Reform to Equal Rights: K-12 Disability History Curriculum with support from the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources Program. There is currently no coherent curriculum across grades. The final curriculum will be free. Join us in fall 2022 piloting this groundbreaking, inclusive program!

Let us know which units interest you.
Pilots will teach one or more lessons from the chosen unit(s). (Each unit has 2-4 lessons; teach as many as you  are able.) Then you will share feedback about engagement, accessibility, and teachability via Google Forms and an end-of-pilot focus group. There will be an optional one-hour orientation webinar for pilots at 4pm Eastern Time - September 28. (Which will be recorded.) Sign up by September 26. Massachusetts teachers who complete the pilot review will get 10 PDPs. (Teachers from outside Massachusetts will get a letter documenting hours of completion.)

Your participation will make a difference for students with disabilities and for ALL learners!
