Anita Nowak, PhD is an empathy expert, award‐winning educator, speaker, podcaster, and author of Purposeful Empathy: Tapping Our Hidden Superpower for Personal, Organizational, and Social Change. As a certified coach, she also helps family foundations translate their philanthropic goals into social impact and helps purpose‐driven organizations create cultures of empathy through her boutique advisory firm, Purposeful Empathy by Design. Dedicated to teaching and mentoring the next generation of changemakers, she is Faculty with the McGill Executive Institute, and teaches Leadership, Ethics in Management and Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the undergraduate level, where she was named Professor of the Year in 2014 and 2019.
