Striving Towards Rethinking Inclusivity, Diversity and Equity
In collaboration with its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee, the WIAA aims to celebrate member schools that actively seek to encourage participation in activities/athletics for diverse populations. Any WIAA-affiliated school that proposes and demonstrates steps to improve student-athlete participation for specified demographic groups will hold status as a WIAA STRIDE School. Schools that choose to engage in the STRIDE Initiative will make an impact on athletic accessibility for student-athletes across Washington state.
