Arjuna

[The Chants]
1. nirvāṇaṣaṭkam
This chant, composed by ādi śankarācārya expresses the teaching of“neti neti” (not this, not that) of Vedānta philosophy, the understanding of which leads to the state of enlightenment and peace of mind.
2. bhagavad gītā -- Chapter 15
The gita, which I am sure most people are familiar with, is a song embedded in
the great epic mahābhārata. It tells of the dialogue, just before the great battle was
about to begin, between arjuna and his charioteer whom unknown to arjuna at the start of the conversation is the incarnate Lord kṛṣṇa himself. It is a very important text for many Indian philosophies, especially those of saṁkhya and yoga. Chapter 15 is chosen for its brevity with only 20 verses and variation in metre (in parts triṣṭubh instead of the usual anuṣṭubh metre).
