The Alberta Rural Development Network (ARDN) is hosting four free webinars! Every two weeks this spring, join us from the comfort of your home for an interactive presentations on rural homelessness, affordable housing, and tips and tricks for grant applications. Due to the unfortunate events from COVID-19, the need for housing and addressing homelessness will increase. ARDN wants you to take a proactive approach and prepare now to ensure you are able to successfully respond to the growing need once social distancing measures can be lifted. The methodology is designed specifically to unravel the complex dimensions of homelessness and housing instability in rural areas. Rural community leaders and service providers are often met with disbelief when raising concerns about homelessness due to the lack of tangible data on this population. Understanding the need will enable groups to advocate for the policies, resources, and funding needed to address rural homelessness.
