Thank you for your interest in providing content for our next Annual Conference!  It is because of people like you that our organization is able to help our NC Community College Sociology and Psychology Faculty continue to move forward and develop as top professionals in our fields.

The North Carolina Community College Sociology and Psychology Association is seeking proposals that reflect the best thinking in our fields, informed by theory, research, and practice.  

We invite proposals from members and interested parties that include one or more of the following:
1. Innovative instructional practices
2. Timely and relevant content related to issues pertinent to psychology and sociology
3. Solutions related to retention and engagement of community college students
4. Research relevant to our practice as instructors, the experiences and success of our students, and professional development
5. Best practices in community college and social science education
6. Exploration of issues related to curriculum globalization
7. Utilization and maximization of technological resources in education

Proposals are invited in the following categories:

Conference Session (45-60 minutes) - Presenters and co-presenters will provide presentations to the conference attendees during our primary conference days.  Topics may relate to any of the topic categories listed above.

Round Table Discussion - Presenters and co-presenters will lead a round table discussion highlighting current research, practices, or other content related to any of the topic categories listed above. Table discussions will last approximately 20 minutes, and will run three consecutive mini-sessions to allow the maximum number of attendees to engage with each topic. Handouts are appreciated as well.

Proposals will be reviewed during our Spring conference planning session, and presenters will be notified by April 1, 2021.  


***All approved presenters and co-presenters will receive a discount on conference registration fees. If you are unable to attend the entire conference, but still want to present, please contact us at ncccspa@ncccspa.org and we will be happy to discuss options with you.***
