The Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center (CaSToRC) is calling the industrial and governmental sector to express their interest in the Industrial High Performance Computing Programme under its activities as National Competence Center in HPC of Cyprus.
With this programme, CaSToRC aims to:
● Promote the use of best practices in HPC technologies
● Enable the uptake of key future technologies of HPC, Big Data Analytics and AI in the Cyprus with particular focus on Industry and governmental organizations
● Help SMEs, startups and government organisations to overcome the training and cost barriers in using HPC and related technologies
● Increase the innovation potential, efficiency, expertise and competitiveness of Cyprus based companies and government organisations
Participants of this programme will be assisted in their projects by members of the NCC High Level Support Team of CaSToRC which will include:
● Identification of needs in terms of knowhow and resources
● Access to HPC Training
● Access to computational resources required for the successful completion of the project
● Technical expertise in the fields of HPC, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data Analytics by allowing them to co-locate members of their staff as a collaborator within the NCC for 3-6 months. During this time, these collaborators will be assigned on a project defined by their employer and work on the development of a technical solution. This work can include optimising a computationally intensive application, porting code to newer/faster technologies, developing code for use on a HPC system, and inclusion of new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics.
Funding from the project will be made available to support the technical personnel involved in the development of the technical solution.
Application will be reviewed at the end of every week and the applicants notified. Applications will be accepted until resources are exhausted. For any clarifications or support needed, please contact
