What: This workshop will introduce Hawaii Island youth to engineering. Activities include an exploration of a variety of engineering jobs, an introduction to scale drawing and bridge engineering.
Participants will be treated to fun and informative activities, including paper tower building, straw bridge making, straw rockets, among others!
The event is free of charge and open to Hawaii Island students, grades 4-6. Grades 4-5 please bring a parent. Grade 6 participants, a parent/guardian is optional. There are limited slots.
When: Saturday, June 3, 2023 and Sunday, June 4, 2023, 9:00AM - 3:00PM
Where: University of Hawaii at Hilo, Kanakaole Hall Room 126.
