With some new information regarding hybrid instruction, we are seeking confirmation of your child's preference for hybrid or comprehensive distance learning (CDL). Please complete a separate form for each of your children that attend Beach by Monday, March 15.

1. Each child will take part in either a morning session or afternoon session with a teacher regardless of whether they are in hybrid or CDL instruction.

2. Districtwide start times are as follows: Morning Session--8:00 to 10:15 Afternoon Session--12:15 to 2:30. Your child will engage in specials and asynchronous instruction when they are not in session with a teacher.

3. For children in immersion, there is no guarantee that your child will be assigned to their current teacher. Please know that teachers will be collaborating to ensure a smooth transition if your child is assigned to the other teacher in that grade level.

4. To support k-8 busing, most hybrid sessions will take place in the morning and CDL will primarily be in the afternoon. It is not possible to make adjustments to your assignments, but siblings will be placed in the same session. (Please note that requests to maintain pods cannot be accommodated.)

5. Transportation for hybrid will be provided for students who live outside of the walking area and within the neighborhood boundary. Only students who are eligible will be able to receive transportation.

6. It is likely, but not confirmed, that students will have asynchronous instruction the first several
days after Spring Break, and return to school possibly April 1, so that staff can prepare for a safe, meaningful and joyful final phase of this school year for our students, whether they will be participating in Hybrid or Comprehensive Distance Learning.
