Integrating Research and Practice: Research-Based Strategies to Enhance Teaching and Learning in STEM Classrooms

Conference strands:

  • Creating Inclusive Student-Centered STEM Classrooms
  • Using Observation Protocols to Enrich Student Learning Experiences
  • Community Relevant Authentic Student Research to Foster Engagement and Ownership
  • Successful Projects to Deepen Student Understanding and See Relevant Application of Mathematics
  • Using AI as a Valuable Tool for Teachers and Students

Research-based strategies can enhance teaching, learning, and inclusion in STEM classrooms. At this conference we aim to highlight current research and tested strategies to help educators use these in their classrooms from early elementary through graduate school.

We invite contributions from teachers and researchers (including graduate students) whose work focuses on using observation protocols to enrich student learning experiences, fostering engagement and ownership through student research, helping students see relevance in mathematics, and the use of AI as a tool for teachers and students.

Complete and submit this proposal form no later than May 13, 2024. Earlier submission is encouraged. Proposal decisions will be determined by the RiSE Conference committee.
