How interested would you be in attending a program about making the transition from CPSE (Committee on Preschool Special Education) to CSE (Committee on Special Education)?
This program provides a review of the similarities and differences between CPSE and CSE, including: timelines, roles and responsibilities, parents’ rights, eligibility, classifications, continuum of CSE services, benefits of the general education setting, building level supports and services, and current regulations.

How interested would you be in attending a program about preparing for your child’s annual review
A review of the purpose of the annual review, what is discussed during the CSE meeting, and the best ways that parents can effectively prepare for their child’s annual review. Discussion will include how parents can engage as a committee member during the meeting and a review of essential online tools to support your preparation, as well as strategies for keeping the focus on your child.

This presentation will help parents of students with an IEP or 504 Plan in understanding the differences that can be expected as students move from high school to a college setting. We will discuss laws which govern services at the college level, how to access academic accommodations, disability documentation, your changing role as a parent, and tips on what students can do now to work on the skills needed for a successful college experience.
