Education Committee: plans education and networking events for all PubWest members. They meet together monthly and break out into the below sub-committees after a group touch base. Education Committee members must choose one sub-committee of focus from this list:
- Boot Camp 2024: Creates the program and lines up speakers, works on pricing and strategy to achieve set goals.
- Conference 2025: Creates the program and lines up speakers, works on pricing and strategy to achieve set goals. Ensures expenses stay within budget parameters. Supports and balances the needs of the attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors.
- Professional Development: Plans and hosts online and in person events to bring PubWest members together for education and networking.
Awards Committee: In addition to organizing and improving the Book Design Awards program each year, this committee compiles and vets nominations for the Jack D. Rittenhouse Award, the Innovator Award, and the Scholarship program and puts forward a recommendation to the Board of Directors for each one.
Strategic Plan: Creates PubWest’s long-term goals for approval by the board and sets out a plan to achieve these goals. Looks at how to determine future conference locations and sets clear parameters for the ED team to execute a search.
