Gondolas & Garbage Goats RSVP!
Thank you for your interest in Spark Central programs! Below you'll find descriptions for our youth workshops coming up, as well as questions for you to complete. If you need to change any details or if you have questions about this program, please email programs@spark-central.org

Work produced for these programs has the option of being included in Spark Central's 2024 book project, Gondolas & Garbage Goats -- but we'll need a guardian's permission to do so! If you want your youth's work included, please RSVP using this form. We'll have paper forms available during the program, as well.

Gondolas, Gondolas, Gondolas! • Grades 6-8 • Sat May 11 • 1 - 2:30 PM
Travel back in time to the World's Fair, 1974! In this comics workshop, we'll create short panels exploring Expo '74. Our characters will ride the gondolas and magically appear 50 years in the past! What will your characters explore?

Feed Me, Spokane! • Grades 3-5 • Sat June 1 • 11 AM - 12 PM
The Garbage Goat is hungry for adventure! In this short workshop, folks in grades 3-5 will learn from local artist, Iris Everbloom, how to draw the Garbage Goat. Then, we'll pick a place to plop him, draw that setting behind him, and write about his adventures there.

Gondolas & Garbage Goats Book Release Party • Thurs August 29, 7 PM (subject to change)
If we've received permission from a legal guardian to publish your work in Gondolas & Garbage Goats, you'll receive one FREE copy of the professionally-bound book! Save the date for the release party and be one of the first people to hold a copy.
