Tepito Coffee is hiring baristas for our cafe located inside the historic Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena (695 E. Colorado Blvd. Pasadena CA, 91101).

Qualifications

You enjoy being part of a team that works together to do things the right way
You have a clear sense of community and are driven by a desire to help others and share the things you love
You have genuine interest and excitement for coffee and our Tepito Coffee community
Your are reliable and a great verbal communicator
You are organized, punctual and excel at building relationships with people
You are open to learning about brewing methods and food presentation techniques to improve food quality
Previous experience working in a coffee shop setting is not required but is a plus
Bilingual a plus
Valid California Food Handler Verification required
Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

You will operate job-related equipment such as coffee grinders and espresso machines to brew delicious hot and cold coffees and beverages
Serve drinks and premade food items
Greet customers, introduce them to our menu, make recommendations and answer any questions they may have
Bus tables and engage in dish washing and general cleaning
Help check out customers at register and ensure all transactions are accurate
Perform opening and closing procedures including: arranging tables, restocking displays and counting inventory
Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls

Pay starts at $17/hr depending on experience
