Thanks for your interest in the internship program at Annoyance!
We track intern hours and have interns "cash in" accumulated hours toward our classes. Typically, interns work 5-7 hours per week. Interns are expected to work hours BEFORE using worked hours to register for classes.
Internships may include: (duties vary according to day/time)
taking tickets
checking for vax cards
cleaning: mopping/stocking bathrooms, cleaning tables in theatre, cleaning bar tables, vacuuming hall, taking out garbage
monitoring shows to make sure patrons are not causing any disturbances
assisting patrons
assisting manager on duty with any needs that come up
helping to bus tables/ reset theatres between shows
straightening & emptying trash in classrooms
monitoring the door and buzzing people in
distributing keys for classroom rentals
fulfilling ticket donations
other office work as needed
Most interns assist as house managers and as help for the bar.
Filling out this form will add you to my list of potential interns. Please be patient, most applicants spend a few months on this list - each session is eight weeks long and many interns work several sessions so turnover can be slow.
