--David Treuer, Professor of English at USC, noted writer and Native American studies scholar, author of The Heartbeat of Wounded Knee: Native America from 1890 to the Present
--Deborah Kaufman and Alan Snitow, respected filmmakers who are producing a documentary about the mural and the controversy surrounding it. The event will feature a preview of their film in progress!
--Steven J. Zipperstein, the Daniel E. Koshland Professor in Jewish Culture and History at Stanford, author most recently of Pogrom; Kishinev and the Tilt of History
--Karen Biestman, Associate Dean and Director, Native American Cultural Center at Stanford
Tune in for a roundtable discussion that will dig into the history of the mural, the implications behind the varied reactions to the imagery, and the ethics of public art.
