Thank you for your interest in the Summer of the Arts Board of Directors.  

The mission of Summer of the Arts is to build community by bringing people together in the heart of Iowa City to experience, learn about, and enjoy free arts and cultural programs.

Each fall, we have a limited number of board seats that become available as some of the current board member's terms expire.  We look to fill these seats with community members and who are passionate about what we do and see the value that our events bring to the area.  If you feel that you would like to contribute to our mission and work and would like to be considered for a place on the board - please fill out the following application.  

Board of Directors terms are three years, with the option to serve two terms. You are expected to actively volunteer at our festivals, namely the Iowa Arts Festival, Iowa City Jazz Festival, and Soul & Blues Festival.

Terms start January 1st of each year.  

A current board member will contact all applicants by mid December after the nominating committee has had the opportunity to review all applications.
