We recognize the emergency situation we face with climate change and the need to immediately reduce our fossil fuel use to preserve a safe climate. We have already created dangerous amounts of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, which have permanently damaged critical ecosystems and shifted Earth's climate systems into uncharted territory. We also recognize that fossil fuel burning creates significant health damage at home and in the region, and is particularly damaging to low income and other vulnerable communities.

Therefore, we commit to:
- Communicate ongoing with our members (supporters, volunteers, Board, staff) on the need to act on climate change, possibly related to the organization’s mission (health, food security, youth, antipoverty, etc).
- Lead by example and reduce our organization’s own carbon emissions and air pollution by 50%.
- Encourage organization members to advocate for policy change and for climate investments, especially those linked to public health and anti-poverty efforts.
