Bar Harbour Camp is accredited by the Alberta Camping Association and the United Church Camping Standards. Accreditation standards assure parents that their children will be safe and cared for by qualified and trained staff.
 
Leader in Training (LIT) is a volunteer position for youth 16 - 17 years of age. This is a work experience opportunity that can help you learn how to be a role model for younger children in a safe and supported environment. Work experience, volunteer, and reference letters will be available for successful LITs upon request

As a Leader in Training, you will:
  • Shadow and work with Counsellors or other camp staff  
  • Enjoy working with children and be an enthusiastic participant in all camp activities while building positive relationships with campers
  • Experience teaching, leading, and learning as part of a camp team, including being aware of and assisting in supporting the mental and physical welfare of the camper, accompanying campers to activities, ensuring that campers are punctual for all activities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers, including following Bar Harbour Camp's policies and procedures
