Jacksonville Science Festival invites you to "NERD OUT" with us Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, April 11,12 & 13, 2024 at the 12th annual festival. Volunteers are the heart of the festival and assist the students in having a wonderful experience presenting their research. THANK YOU!
It is important for the Jacksonville Science Festival Team to have a full volunteer staff throughout the entire day. Please plan to be available on Thursday from 8am-2pm, on Friday from 8am-3pm, and on Saturday from 9am-4pm. If you are only available certain hours please alert us to this in the designated area below.
***As a volunteer, you will receive a SUPER COOL t-shirt, and be treated to coffee and donuts, and a nice lunch (free lunch Thursday & Friday only). Our team is also here to sign off on any volunteers "hours worked" log. Please be aware that all jobs will require being outdoors as the festivals are open air events.
The Festival takes place:
April 11 & 12, 2024; 8am to 3pm at Florida State College at Jacksonville South Campus
April 13, 2024; 9am to 4pm at Henry J Klutho Park in the Springfield neighborhood

Volunteer opportunities include:
- Tour Guide - in this role, you will lead a group of students and their teachers through the festival areas on Thursday and Friday only
- Art Booth - in this role, you will assist with the STEAM Art booths helping visitors create individual and community art projects
- Surveyor - in this role, you will ask visitors to complete an informative survey using a QR Code or on a tablet
- Other - as we prepare for the festival other volunteer roles will be posted
