Our senses tie us to the earthly present while echoing the sublime. Wonder and curiosity are pathways, a shared language, of corporeal experience as well as transcendence. THE SENSUAL WORLD is a printed project devoted to the cultivation and exploration of wonder and curiosity through the lens of our 5 senses.
We’re looking for pitches on all things sensuous, wonder-filled, and curiosity-piquing — echoing across themes of nature, perception, connection, science, memory, the cosmos, as well as stories about individuals working within the sensory landscape, from researchers to artists to practitioners to chefs.
An ideal pitch features 1-2 paragraphs describing your idea, your access, and why you are the person to bring this writing to life, as well as a few examples of things you've written in the past. No attachments, just in the body of an email please.
Completed works of poetry and short fiction are very welcome.
