An entire day of learning, resources and community for fiber by the Arts Council for Wyoming County - newly expanded. This year’s festival will include an expanded workshop schedule beginning on Friday, April 26, a fiber artists forum and, for the first time, a juried arts exhibition curated around the council's 2024 theme of "Different," and a skein competition. Our normal early load-in for vendors will also include an early "first look" private shop for Friday evening workshop students for those vendors who wish to participate.
This year's keynote: Tammy White, Wing and a Prayer Farm, on her natural dye and climate change collaboration with Cecilia Vicuna at The Guggenheim.
Love a good 'behind the scenes" experience? Volunteers are welcome for all facets of the festival. Volunteers welcome the public and assist students with registration, act as runners and general support, assist with workshops and vendors and even help document and share the festival on social media, generally making the wheels go round while learning all the ins and outs of a fiber festival event.
