Volunteers will be required to undertake training; the amount of training will depend on the role. Some roles require a DBS check. Volunteers must be over 14. We actively promote equality of opportunity for all with the right mix of skills, talent and potential and we welcome applications from a wide range of people. We select our volunteers based on their skills, personal qualities, and experience.

DATA PROTECTION

Noah’s ART uses your personal information to process your application and support you effectively within our services. The personal information that you provide is processed and stored lawfully and in accordance with our Data Protection Policy and the Data Protection Act 2018. We may also use or pass to certain third parties information to prevent or detect crime, to protect public funds or in other ways as permitted by law.

If you decide to stop attending Noah’s ART, any personal data gathered may be held for up to 12 months and then securely destroyed. In the event that you wish to withdraw your consent to us processing your personal data at any point, please contact admin@noahs-art.co.uk.

EMPLOYMENT OF EX OFFENDERS (CONFIDENTIAL)

Most of the volunteering opportunities at Noah’s A.R.T. will involve direct contact with vulnerable people, as such applicants are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. You are required to declare any convictions (spent or unspent) that are not ‘protected’ (as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) (Northern Ireland) Order 1979, as amended in 2014).
Disclosing this information will not necessarily affect your suitability for a volunteer position. Please give details of any criminal convictions that are not protected, spent or unspent. If you would rather speak in private about this, please tell the Volunteer Co-ordinator or another staff member. The information provided will be kept confidential. It will only be disclosed to specific Noah’s ART staff if/when they are considering you for specific volunteering opportunities (where you may come into contact with potentially vulnerable adults).
