The Board of Regents is accepting Thomas I. Hines Scholarship applications for the 2024 Revenue Development and Management School. The Thomas I. Hines Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship that is awarded annually to students who have successfully completed the first year of the School and desire to return to complete their second year. In 1974, the BOR of the Revenue Sources Management School and North Carolina State University established the scholarship to honor Professor and Department Head, Tom Hines. Mr. Hines coordinated the first Revenue School in 1965 and continued to be associated with the school until his retirement.
The scholarship includes tuition for the second year of the School and all costs included in the registration fee and room accommodations at Wilson Lodge in Oglebay Park. Food and travel expenses are the responsibility of the scholarship participant. The school will be held March 10-15, 2024. Registration will open around early September, 2023. The number of scholarships awarded each year is determined by the level of funding available, but the School generally strives to award at least two scholarships per year. Scholarship recipients are expected to assist in the planning and execution of the scholarship fun night at Revenue School.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and closes when filled.
