Middle School Ministry 2021-22
Middle School Students (6-8th grade) have a place to belong and connect at St. Matthew's!  The Middle School Ministry is highly relational, accessible and engaging for students to build lasting friendships and explore their own understanding of God and faith. Students are encouraged to ask questions and serve the community as they also get acquainted with the bible and roots of Christianity.  We will engage students in discussion and activities that speak to their struggles, hopes and dreams. We will create a fun, safe, joyful space for our youth to belong and grow in their relationship with God and with one another.

During the fall of 9th grade, students who are interested in affirming their faith (Confirmation) will have a weekend retreat to walk through “what’s next” in their faith journey. Confirmation services are held during worship services on All Saints Sunday.

This year we are attempting to make plans with the hopes of gathering but with the understanding that gatherings, retreats and trips may need to be postponed, cancelled, or re-adjusted. We are entering this year with both flexibility and hope.
