Tento online webinář povede ergoterapeutka Marina Georgiadou. Webinář bude v anglickém jazyce.
Marina Georgiadou is currently working as a Special Teaching Personnel at the European University Cyprus (EUC) since 2019. She also worked as a clinical supervisor for unaccompanied minors and asylum seekers and refugess for 4 years, while teaching at the EUC. She worked at the Mental Health Services of the Ministry of Health for 16 years, most of those years in closed settings such as the Cyprus Department of Prisons and the Mental Health Hospital. She also worked with addictions and was a member of the Ad-hoc committee to the
Director of the Mental Health Services. She developed and helped develop many new programs, such
as the mental health program and the Addiction rehabilitation program in the prison. She was also
part of the team that developed legislation bills for occupational therapy as well as legislations on
health and rehabilitation (sex offenders act, addiction, parole etc). She is currently pursuing her PhD
in Public Health.
Anotace:
The combination of many years of clinical experience in designing, developing and implementing the
occupational therapy program in the Cyprus prison department and the theory of occupational
justice will be presented. How occupational therapy can be developed in a prison setting and matters
to be addressed wil also be discussed during the session.
