Kindergarteners from Ship Area School District will be at the campus farm for environmental education and literacy on Monday and Tuesday April 22nd and 23rd.
We need to be set-up by 9:00 a.m. Students will arrive around 9:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and we will run rotating sessions with kids until about 11:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We will need to take some time to clean-up each day and put tools away - so we are normally all done by 12:30 p.m.
We will run stations focused on soils and composting, planting, nature scavenger hunts, weeds and seeds, earthworms, chickens/goats, etc.
All volunteers will receive "teaching" instructions on their assigned station(s). A training is scheduled so everyone will have the content ahead of time. The training is scheduled for Friday, April 19 at 3:15 p.m. at the Campus Farm located off Britton Road and Paul Drive (east of the Spiritual Center on campus)
