Moderator Expectations
As a moderator, you will be expected to work collaboratively with your fellow r/phallo mods to ensure the subreddit continues running smoothly and safely. These tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Removing comments and posts that do not abide by the subreddit rules & guidelines, are off-topic, or violate Reddit Content Policy.
• Ensuring discussions remain on-topic, civil, and constructive. This may mean locking posts if discussions become too difficult to reasonably manage.
• Adding & changing Flairs, NSFW, and Spoiler tags to help users curate their browsing experience.
• Reviewing & addressing Modmail messages, ban appeals, survey requests, Automod notifications, etc.
• Addressing posts that require Mod attention in the Mod Queue.
• Banning users who demonstrate they cannot be trusted to follow subreddit & Reddit guidelines. Note that bans here may be heavier-handed than some subreddits and moderation styles that you are used to, given the sensitive nature of subjects on r/phallo.
• Working with the rest of the mod team to address issues in a timely and effective manner. Mods should communicate their uncertainties to the rest of the team so that they can feel confident they are addressing matters appropriately and in line with other moderators' stances and actions, to ensure users are being addressed fairly across the sub.

Note that some of these tasks may require permissions not initially granted to incoming moderators; newly onboarded moderators, or "Trainee moderators," should expect to start without the ability to:

• Ban/unban users
• Make changes to the wiki, subreddit appearance, rules, and settings;
• Edit AutoModerator or user/post flairs
• Take any actions related to subreddit chat rooms

Trainee moderators are always welcome to open a dialogue with existing mods about whether additional permissions are appropriate at that time.
