- How To Catch A Turkey: Young learners will enjoy reading How To Catch A Turkey, a story about how one turkey is running loose in a school right before the big play. After the story, we will put our young engineer minds into action as we build traps for our turkeys. This 1.25 hour class will help your child with story sequencing and retell while putting their problem-solving skills to the test! >>Each child will receive their very own turkey plush and materials to build a one of a kind trap. (LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE!)
- Gingerbread Village: Young learners will discover that engineering is a creative process which involves overcoming problems and persevering, as we read The Plan for the Gingerbread House: A STEM Engineering Story. After the story, we will challenge our own creative process using the same guidelines as the story: each house must stand upright on its own and a gingerbread boy and girl must fit inside! This 1.25 hour class will engage your learner with lyrical rhyme as they plan, build, and carryout this challenge! >>Each child will receive all gingerbread building and decorating items to build their very own gingerbread house. (LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE!)
- Passport Christmas Camp: This immersive, 2-day mini camp invites young learners to "travel around the world" as they discover how Christmas is celebrated in other parts of the world. Imaginations will run wild as we start with the story, Where Would Santa Go?: A Christmas Adventure with the Most Famous World Traveler where we will join Santa in this playful Christmas adventure. Camp will consist of 2-hours each day, where we will "travel to other countries" to learn about customs, holidays, famous sites, and more! Your child will enjoy holiday stories, STEM challenges, and take part in festive activities. >>Each child will receive their own pretend passport, a tasting of some world holiday favorite recipes, and all activity materials.
