Art On Scotland – Terms and Conditions 2020 Applicable to Art On the Exchange 1. AOS requires an up-front payment of 50% per booking to confirm your space at the market. This must be paid within a week of booking or your booking will be cancelled. Full payment or balance must be paid by BACS or PayPal within 2 weeks of your confirmed date. If you are booking short notice, or within 2 weeks prior to the event, the payment must be paid in full to confirm your space. 2. Notice is required if you are unable to attend any of Market days you have booked, either by phone or by email. Art On Scotland Cancellation Policy; We understand that certain circumstances may arise where you have to cancel. Cancellation fees will be charged at £10 per day, or a minimum of £20 per booking. We require 2 weeks notice without exception before your trading day(s) to receive your payment back minus your cancellation fee. This allows us adequate time to fill your space, we have limited spaces and each booking is vital for the market to continue to exist. Extenuating circumstances to be considered on a case-by-case basis. 3. The occupation of any stall for one or more markets in succession does not constitute a right for future use of that same stall or pitch. 4. Trading times will be 11am to 6pm, with very few exceptions. Stall holders should be ready to trade by 10.30am and have the area in front of their stall clear. Nothing from your stall should stick out beyond the awning 5. Vehicle access to Royal Exchange Square is between 8.45am and 10am, and from 6pm onwards. DO NOT leave your car in after 10am, please find parking ASAP. 6. Stalls cannot be shared or sublet without the agreement of the market organiser. 7. The stall holder on the day of the market is responsible for complying with all local and national laws and regulations regarding the production, labelling, display, storage, handling, cooking and sale of goods. 8. The allocation of stalls is solely at the discretion of the management. 9. You are responsible for having your own Public Liability Insurance on the day of trading. It is not permissible to trade without this. 10. If applicable, an electronic copy of your Food Hygiene Certificate must be given to the market management before the start of trading. 11. All stalls must comply with current Environmental Health, Trading Standards and Health and Safety requirements. 12. Stall holders must provide their own suitable table covers, reaching the ground at the front of the stall. 13. Stall holders MUST dispose of all their rubbish at the end of each trading day. Failure to do so compromises our permission to trade in the location. 14. There is a strict No Smoking policy at all stalls and space adjacent to stalls for all stallholders and staff. 15. Stall holders are expected to promote and support the market. 16. Grievances should be directed to the Market Managers who, in turn, will be responsible for resolving the dispute. 17. Stallholders will treat each other with respect. Foul or offensive language will not be tolerated. 18. Stallholders are not provided a chair, please feel free to bring one along 19. We ask stall holders NOT to pack up early as it affects the look of the entire market. Please stick to market set up and pack down times, failure to do so can result in rejection of your future bookings. Please be ready to load your vehicle before you drive on, as congestion in the square can happen if vehicles are idle for too long. There are plenty of public parking spaces around the city centre as there are none provided in the square. 20. Stall holders are responsible for their own work if they leave it unattended at any time. 21. Each stall will have LED lighting run off a generator with no additional electricity is provided. Feel free to bring battery operated lights with you. 22. Please take responsibility for making your stall look great - you will have a far better response from public. 23. In the unlikely case that the market has to be cancelled you will receive a refund apart from a £10 administration fee per stall/per day that the market doesn't go ahead. The organisers have everyone's best interest and safety in mind. If the organisers feel the weather/wind will make the market unable to go ahead, you will be notified by telephone and email by 9:30pm the night before the event. The organisers will do everything in their power to make sure all events go ahead as planned.
