I acknowledge that I understand the nature of bicycling activities and the risks inherent in participating in such activities, and voluntarily agree to participate in the Black Girls Do Bike rides. I represent and warrant that I have the necessary skill level to participate in the ride I have chosen.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in any Black Girls Do Bike ride, I agree to assume all risks and responsibilities surrounding my participation in the ride. I understand and acknowledge that cycling can be a hazardous activity and that there are certain inherent risks associated with cycling. I understand and acknowledge that there are risks associated with traffic, weather, road conditions, equipment failures, and other risks that may not be foreseeable. I assume all such risks, whether known or unknown to me at this time.

I agree to follow all rules, regulations, and instructions given by Black Girls Do Bike ride leaders and assistants. I agree to wear a properly fitting helmet at all times while participating in Black Girls Do Bike rides, and to use appropriate safety equipment as required.

I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Black Girls Do Bike, its officers, directors, members, agents, volunteers, and employees, as well as any other participants, sponsors, and organizers, for any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me, while participating in any Black Girls Do Bike ride or related activity, whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.

I understand that this waiver and release of liability will remain in effect for all Black Girls Do Bike rides and related activities in which I participate, unless I provide written notice of my revocation to Black Girls Do Bike. I understand that my failure to follow all rules, regulations, and instructions of Black Girls Do Bike ride leaders and assistants, or to comply with the terms of this waiver, may result in my immediate removal from the ride

*I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by participating in rides with Black Girls Do Bike. I agree to follow all recommended guidelines by public health officials, including wearing a mask and practicing social distancing.

*If I am signing this waiver on behalf of a minor child, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the child, that I have read this waiver and understand its contents, and that I consent to the child's participation in the ride. I agree to assume all risks associated with the child's participation, and to release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Black Girls Do Bike, its officers, directors, volunteers, employees, or agents, and any ride sponsors, organizers, or affiliated entities, from any and all liability to the child, me, or anyone else for any and all claims, demands, losses, or damages arising from or in connection with the child's participation in the ride. I agree to ensure that the child wears a helmet at all times while riding and to exercise reasonable care and caution to protect the child's safety.

I have read this waiver and release of liability, fully understand its terms, and sign it voluntarily without inducement or coercion.
